The Art in Public Space program offers a broad theoretical and historical understanding of the discourses on, and practice of, art in public space. It provides training in dealing with the practical and theoretical problems arising from the situation of art in public space and examines current definitions of 'real' and 'virtual' public space. International Practice RMIT Public Art / Art and Public Space works regularly with overseas partners. International projects are undertaken and students have the opportunity to participate in one overseas project as a specialist field trip when available.
